if you use google desktop, there's gadgets for this sort of thing that are very nice and will sit in your sidebar

if you're worried about a specific piece of hardware and want to see how well it's performing try "sandra" by sisoft

So im planning as of now my new establish to have a gtx260c216 superclocked from evga, and im planning on getting 2 22" monitors. Is this pointed for now as well as to run gaming or does constant 2 monitors thwart the performance of the gtx260c216 because from reading benchmarks i always see that the bigger the res the turn down the FPS but would a following study perpetual AIM/Winamp/Firefox[for those o so neighbourly trudge-throughs] afflict my gaming performance even more or should i try to get a stronger possible and/or SLI?
