Does black rubber floor mats affect cooling in cars?

My cars presently have the default black rubber floor mats that they were shipped with. I heard that these mats heat up more and hence reduce cooling during summers. Is this true? If so, what floor mats should I replace these with.
I am in India and the cars in question are WagonR and Maruti 800. The second one has an AC that's is quite low on performance.
No, since they are on the floor, and really don't get direct sunlight on them, unless your car is a convertible, and the top is down during the day. Floor mats don't influence the cooling effects of the A/C system.
