Introduction
When we reviewed the Hyundai Genesis Sedan back in June, we were incredibly impressed with the carrying-on, quality and comfort afforded by the Korean maker’s freebie sedan. Heck, the price factor doesn’t even issued into play in considering the Sedan as one of the very best offerings from across the Pacific. Redundant to say, we were excited to get our hands on the Genesis Coupe, with huge expectations based on the experience we had with its 4-door opulence brethren. The Coupe we received for evaluation was the 3.8 Road model, equipped with a 3.8L 24-valve V6 motor and ZF-sourced 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
Long-Term Road Tests
After a few days with the Escape from Majestic Caravan, I have this to say.
There's a clamorous snappy creak coming intermittently from the driver-side B-pier room. It seems to occur most over bumps, and during harder accelerations and harder braking. Ingenious be over: CREEAK. Leathery acceleration to join on the freeway: CREEEAK. -1
Something is clearly up with the brakes: Before I took the keys, Conveyance Testing Coordinator Mike Schmidt mentioned to me that the DGC's brake rotors might be warped and that I should look out for any cacophony or sensitivity that could make clear that, so I set my Spidey senses to "tingle." The first tenebriousness, I heard and felt nothing. But the next day, a Friday, I did review a perturbing groaning/grinding probe and ardency whenever I hit the brakes....
