Headlight bulbs?

"The blue coating to the bulb takes away the yellow effect to give a crisp daylight white light. HID blue tint effect".

So if you got a standard halogen light bulb and a piece of blue tinted tint and place over the headlight lens, will the light emitted from the headlight be white like those blue tinted bulbs used on vehicles of today?

Not entirely true. You will loose a lot of light coming out from the bulbs. Also, you will see less of the road lit. The human eye doesn't see blue as well as other colors like yellow, that's why most fog lights come it yellow. For example, when at night, find a sign with some blue lettering, you'll notice that those letters/words kind of blend in together. But with yellow letters/words they seem to pop out at you.

Talking Cars: What do I do with my flat head?

Debatable: I own a 2002 Acura MDX. With winter around the corner and since I do a lot of dusk driving, I would like to replace the headlight bulbs with a brighter bulb so I can see advantage at night. What can you suggest?

Answer: There are many DOT approved replacement headlight bulbs readily obtainable at many of the large auto part stores. I personally use the Sylvania Silvery Star line. The only downside is, the life stretch over is less than the conventional original bulbs. The replacement bulbs emit a very completely white light. The other option is convert your headlight system over to the HID system. There are a few aftermarket companies that put forward a simple conversion kit, but these kits do not come tacky.
